Blend Vocal Association, a ten-voice women’s vocal ensemble, is currently holding auditions for soprano and alto vocalists for the upcoming season. This Calgary ensemble operates from September to June. Blend performs an eclectic mix of musical styles striving to balance entertainment value with technical challenge. Blend is seeking individuals who have the ability to read and memorize music. Successful vocalists must be available for weekly rehearsals on Thursday evenings (7 – 9 p.m.) in NW Calgary (close to the University of Calgary). A sense of humour is a must, and the ability to yodel, while admirable, is sadly not an asset . The annual membership fee is $300.
