CHILD & YOUTH WINTER DRAMA CLASSES

WHO: 6 - 8 year olds
WHAT: AWESOME AESOP
Imagine the wonderful world of Aesop where all Fables have a meaningful moral. Players will create an animal mask and explore the life of their character and the stories of Aesop. Players will express and play for friends and family on the last day of classes.
WHEN: SATURDAYS 10 AM - 12 PM - Jan. 14—Mar. 24

WHO: 9 - 12 year olds
WHAT: ANCIENT GREEK DRAMA
Imagine the world of Ancient Greece, where the mysteries of nature were explained through Myths; a place where Comedy and Tragedy dramas originated. Players will explore the theatre of Ancient Greece and their myths. They will read several myths and choose one to play with. Players will create a mask and develop their voice and bodies in order to express the characters and the style of theatre. With more confidence, they will play for friends and families on the last day of classes.
WHEN: SATURDAYS 12:30 - 2:30PM - Jan. 14—Mar. 24

WHO: 13 - 18 year olds
WHAT: IMPROVISATION FOR GIRLS
Girls, imagine your world enriched with more spontaneity, where you feel free to express yourself with more confidence. Explore your sense of wonder, creativity and intuition. Play with Improvisation, to develop your on and offstage skills.
WHEN: SATURDAYS 2:45 -4:45 PM - Jan. 14—Mar. 24

WHERE: All classes take place at St. Barnabas Church Hall - 1407 7Ave. N.W.
HOW MUCH: $250 ($30 discount may apply)
