As you may or may not be aware the Alberta Government, through the department of Tourism, Recreation, Parks and Culture, is creating a new cultural policy for Alberta. They are requesting feedback on the drafted definition of culture, desired outcomes of the policy, strategic priorities of the policy, and strategies for implementing the policy by July 31st.

Calgary Arts Development and the Calgary Professional Arts Alliance invite you to bring your lunch to a discussion about the Alberta Cultural Policy on Wednesday, July 25th at Motel (2nd floor across from The Big Secret Theatre in the EPCOR CENTRE for the Performing Arts, 205 8th Ave. SE)

Arts Organizations who receive operating funding from Calgary Arts Development are encouraged to attend one of two information sessions on August 7 or September 17. There will be a presentation and open discussion about Granting Renewal and the Granting Extension with highlights from the newly published research report, The Current State of Arts Granting in Calgary. Please feel free to bring as many people from your organization, as desired, including staff, board or volunteers.

August 7th, 5:30 - 7:00pm at Cantos Music Foundation (134-11th Avenue SE)

or

September 17th, 5:30 - 7:00pm at Jack Singer Concert Hall Lobby (EPCOR CENTRE for the Performing Arts 205 8th Avenue SE)
