Returning to the heart of Calgary’s Music Mile, the second annual Block Heater is ready to heat up four Inglewood venues this February. Don’t miss Calgary Folk Music Festival’s winter roots extravaganza.

Featuring 25 artists from six Canadian provinces, the United States, St. Lucia and Australia, the lineup is smorgasbord of styles, cultures, and genres with concerts as well as collaborative sessions scheduled. There’s even a special gathering of Indigenous artists helping celebrate Canada’s auspicious 150th birthday. On Friday, February 10 head to Festival Hall (1215 10th Ave. SE) to catch performances from Morley’s Eya-Hey Nakoda, Iskwé, Leonard Sumner, and former A Tribe Called Red member DJ Shubb.

Block Heater runs February 10 to 12, 2017 in Inglewood. Head to calgaryfolkfest.com for full festival details.
