Purpose-Driven City - Alberta Venture Interview

in

I've been following the ThinkAlberta blog, a feature of Alberta Venture Magazine, for quite a while in my trusty Google Reader.  Not long ago, there was a post that ticked me off a bit... so I let them know in the comments.  Within a short time, their Web Editor, Rachel Singh, contacted me and essentially said... it's pretty easy to criticize in the comments of a blog, lets hear what you really have to say about this stuff!  Lo and behold, this month's print issue has an interview we completed over phone and e-mail, called "The Purpose-Driven City."

In the process of discussing the interview topic, and then doing the actual interview, I've really come to admire the work that Rachel does at Venture.  She's a model for those observing of an emerging career type: "Online Community Organizer."  I'm a big fan of her use of Twitter (@RachelAtVenture), and she's a multi-blogger (here's a post about the interview on a site she works on, Unlimited).

Thanks for the soapbox, Rachel.  The Think! Alberta project is an important initiative.  I hope we get to work together again!
