Holly Simon, Community Investment Officer
Holly Simon has a BFA from the Alberta College of Art & Design in Media Arts and Digital Technologies and studied fine arts and Spanish at the Universidad Polytecnica in Valencia, Spain. Holly was the Director of TRUCK, a contemporary artist-run centre in Calgary, Alberta from June 2003 to October 2005. In this time, she established a role on several Boards of Directors; including Treasurer of the Mountain Standard Time Performative Art Festival Society, Secretary of the Alberta Association of Artist-Run Centres and a representative for the Association of Calgary Artist-Run Centres. She has also lectured, been a panelist, and jury member for contemporary artist-run culture and attended numerous arts administration conferences and workshops across Canada.
In 2005, Holly was recognized in Alberta Venture Magazine as one of Alberta’s next generation of leaders in “Generation Next", 13 young leaders who will lead us into the future. As a visual artist, Simon has exhibited locally in group and solo exhibitions. She has traveled extensively and has broad interests in arts, culture and language.
