Erica Mattson is responsible for developing and implementing plans for Calgary Arts Development's corporate communications as well as leading initiatives to raise awareness of Calgary's dynamic arts scene and cultural achievements, locally and across the country. Erica has a BA in English from the University of Victoria, training in media relations and arts administration, and she is currently studying in the Master of Arts in Applied Communications program at Royal Roads University, where her research focuses on communications theory and marketing strategies for the arts.

Much of Erica's professional experience has been developed within Victoria, BC's arts community, where she worked in marketing and development roles for organizations including the Victoria Symphony, the Victoria Literary Arts Festival and Intrepid Theatre Company. Most recently Erica served as communications advisor for The City of Calgary in the areas of media relations and internal communications.
