Karen Ball is responsible for the development and direction of CADA's granting programs.  She is also actively enged in supporting the development of arts infrastrucutre through developing and directing infrastructure prioritization programs for City of Calgary investments and championing arts space builders.

Karen has been actively involved in arts and culture throughout the province including serving as  Interim Director of Advancement at the Alberta College of Art + Deisgn where she worked on Stirring Culture and the President's Smart Night  and as Major / Special Gifts officer The Banff Centre where she raised support for the arts from donors across the country including through the Banff Midsummer Ball.  As Executive Director of ArtsHabitat in Edmonton, Karen developed the first and only designated artist live/work housing in the city.  She has also served as the Producer of The Works Art & Design festival in Edmonton and as a curator for the Ontario Craft Council. She holds a BAA from Ryerson University.
