Nooks & Crannies
Outdoor Art Festival
Okotoks Culture seeks proposals from artists to create temporary public art installations in the forgotten nooks and crannies in downtown Okotoks, Alberta for our second annual edition of this art festival.
Nooks & Crannies brings in artists who create temporary site-specific installations that animate the forgotten nooks and crannies of downtown Okotoks.
Individual artists and teams must use recycled products to create installations that raise environmental awareness, animate spaces, and entertain audiences. Environmental awareness and sustainability are key themes in this festival, and the materials used in all installations will be recyclable items from the Okotoks Eco Centre or provided by the artist.
The second annual Nooks & Crannies Festival opens July 18, 2020, with art installations available for viewing until August 22, 2020.
Nooks & Crannies only accepts submissions from Alberta artists, and there are four different categories artists may apply within:
- Professional
- Accomplished
- Youth
- Hobbyist
Selected artists will be paid an installation fee, based on the category they fall within.
Deadline to Submit: June 19, 2020
