3-Day Smartphone Photography Workshops: Heartfulness & Rhythm, hosted by LOUD Art Society

Join us for a three-session workshop blending smartphone photography techniques with emotional expression. Led by Dr. Brenda Mansfield, this interactive and therapeutic experience is perfect for anyone looking to explore mindfulness, self-expression and visual storytelling through the lens of their phone.

Workshop Schedule

  • May 3, 2025 Day 1: Introduction & Emotional Perception
    Basics of smartphone photography, composition, and emotional storytelling.
  • May 10, 2025 Day 2: Emotional Landscapes & Composition
    Explore how feelings shape perspective, and experiment with colours, angles and black & white.
  • May 17, 2025 Day 3: Reflection & Sharing
    Group photo sharing, feedback session and deeper discussion on technique and expression.

About the Facilitator

Dr. Brenda Mansfield is a heart-based educator and creative practitioner with a Doctorate in Education from the University of Calgary. Her expertise lies in using art as a tool for emotional exploration and growth, combining academic insight with hands-on creativity.

Artists’ Fees & Royalties

All facilitator fees are covered through ticket sales and LOUD Art Society’s fundraising support. This workshop does not offer individual exhibition royalties or additional salaries beyond the facilitation fee.
