Art and Nature Field Trips

Are you a teacher, homeschool parent, or youth group organizer looking for a meaningful and creative field trip experience near Calgary? Look no further than the Leighton Art Centre!
We offer unique art & nature field trips that combine hands-on artmaking with outdoor exploration, gallery visits, and guided nature walks. Students will be immersed in art and the environment, guided by professional artist-instructors.
Each visit includes sketchbook activities, a museum and gallery tour, a nature walk, and a custom art project suited to your group’s grade level. All materials are provided, and every student takes home their own sketchbook.
Perfect for school classes, homeschool groups, Scouts, Guides, and other youth organizations. We have capacity for up to 88 students per day in each of our three studio spaces. Bursaries are available for qualifying groups.
We are now booking for the 2025– 26 school year. Virtual and in-class “Art To Go” options are also available from January to March.
