Art in the Park! Summer 2025

Dots & Lines

Join us this summer at beautiful Prince’s Island Park for a relaxing and inspiring creative experience. It’s the perfect opportunity to make new friends, learn new artistic skills and enjoy the beauty of nature and community in the heart of YYC. Everyone is welcome!

What to expect

During our time together, you’ll have the chance to socialize and participate in two engaging creative activities, both led by our creative community ambassadors and professional artists.

  • Pastel Drawing: Explore vibrant colors and expressive lines
  • Plant Pot Painting: Decorate your own plant pot to take home

Who is it for

Everyone is welcome! Whether you’re a seasoned artist, just starting out or simply looking to explore your creativity, you’ll find an enriching experience of art, nature and community. Bring your friends, colleagues, family members, and even your friendly dog!

Bring your water bottle or beverages, and any snacks or a light lunch you’d like to enjoy while you create. If you’re attending with small children, we kindly request that you provide appropriate supervision throughout your time at the event.

Choose your ticket

We offer a few ways to participate, so you can tailor your day:

  • Pastel Drawing Admission: Includes all art supplies (pastels, sketching paper) and step-by-step instruction from a professional artist to help bring your vision to life.
  • Plant Pot Painting Admission: Includes all art supplies (paints, brushes and a plant pot) and step-by-step instruction from a professional artist to paint your own unique plant pot to take home!
  • Observant Admission: Perfect for those who wish to simply soak in the vibrant atmosphere. You’re also welcome to bring your own materials if you’d like to draw along independently.

*You’re welcome to register for both Pastel Drawing and Plant Pot Painting! Upon arrival, you’ll join the group for your selected activity. Each activity will last approximately 1 to 1.5 hours, after which you can move on to the next workshop if you’ve registered for both.
