Artist Call: Performers
International Avenue Arts & Culture Community

International Avenue Arts and Culture Community (IAACC) is seeking performers for our upcoming fundraiser.
The Community Cultural Showcase is a branch of IAACC’s past Around the World Gala’s and partnership Multicultural Night, which were premium events. This Community Cultural Showcase evening celebrates the ethnic diversity of East Calgary through music and dance from around the world. A unique Celebration of the World theme will take passport holders around the globe through photobooth opportunities and live cultural entertainment. Other activities planned for the evening include Silent Auction, Door Prizes, and a 50/50 raffle draw.
The Proceeds will help raise money to support artists, as well as arts and cultural initiatives in East Calgary. IAACC is the heART of the commUNITY when it comes to free arts programming for the community, supporting artists of all ages giving them an economic uplift, and celebrating diversity through the arts by way of free community events. This event is in collaboration with Fuse33 Makerspace, a focal point of East Calgary, who will host the concession and bar; proceeds from concession and bar sales go to support even more artists through Fuse33’s unique art facility, teaching new skills and building and inclusive, accessible community.
Performance Location:
- Southview Community Association – main hall, on the main stage (12’ deep x 20’ wide; 6 or 7 steps up to the stage)
- The west hall (green room) will be entertainment entrance. Easy access to the main stage. A venue map will be sent prior to the event.
Performance Opportunities:
- 1 of 8 acts – performance up to 7 minutes each
- Entrance music (45 mins)
- Intermission music (20mins)
- Exit music (20-30mins)
