Bridges: An Arts and Culture Workshop Series

The Fourth Space

Location: YW Calgary,  1715 – 17 Ave. SE
Dates: July through August 2025

Join us this July and August for a series of creative and hands-on workshops led by local artists. From rap to henna art to storytelling, each workshop explores how art can be a bridge between people and cultures. The workshops are pay-what-you-can and are open to all, regardless of experience!

Beginners are warmly welcomed!

You can register for as many workshops as you’d like!

The workshops are as follows:

  • Saturday, July 26, 12:30 – 2:30pm: Henna (Mehndi) Art, presented by The Fourth Space.
  • Wednesday, July 30, 5 – 7pm: Sensory Storytelling: Telling Stories with More Than Voice, presented by The Fourth Space.
  • Saturday, August 2, 12:30 – 2:30pm: Hip Hop: Evoking Community Connections, presented by Funk-E.
  • Wednesday, August 6, 5 – 7pm: Spoken Word Poetry & Rap, presented by Qaher Mohammad.
  • Saturday, August 9, 12:30 – 2:30pm: Alcohol Ink Art is presented by Lumara Studios.

Registration is required as workshops are limited in size. Refreshments will be offered.
