Chinook Blast 2026 will take place from January 30 to February 16, 2026, and we are seeking proposals for installations that will remain on display throughout the festival’s duration.
Chinook Blast 2026 wants your creative spark to help transform downtown Calgary into a vibrant winter wonderland! We’re looking for interactive art installations that light up the night, invite connection and bring bold colour to our new festival location!
Funding available:
- Chinook Blast Hub: $5,000 – $30,000 per chosen installation
- City of Calgary’s Winter City Design Competition: $45,000 for two winter-durable designs to be showcased for three months.
Whether you’re a sculptor, visual artist, or immersive experience designer this is your chance to make your mark at Chinook Blast 2026. Selected works will be featured at Eau Claire Plaza and Prince’s Island Lagoon.
