Enter the CBC Nonfiction Prize before March 1, 2026 and you could be in Banff! Winning a CBC Literary Prize means you will receive $6,000 from the Canada Council for the Arts, have your work published on CBC Books and enjoy a two-week writing residency at the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity.

The prize is open to all Canadian citizens and permanent residents of Canada who have reached the age of majority in their province or territory of residence, whether living in Canada or abroad.
