Culture Threads: An Intergenerational Workshop Series

Alberta Network of Immigrant Women

A new project by Alberta Network of Immigrant Women, funded by the Government of Alberta

We’re bringing generations together to celebrate culture, memory and connection.

Culture Threads invites youth (ages 13 – 18) and elders from Indian (South Asian) backgrounds to take part in a series of creative, hands-on workshops—because stories, traditions and wisdom are meant to be shared.

Indian Diaspora Workshop Series

All sessions will be held at ANIW office at 1409 Edmonton Trail NW.

  • Storytelling Circle: Saturday, August 16, 11am – 2pm
  • Traditional Arts & Crafts: Saturday, September 13, 11am – 2pm
  • Potluck & Recipe Sharing: Saturday, October 18, 11am – 2pm
