Emerging Voices: A Student Art Exhibition

The Faculty of Arts Students’ Association at the University of Calgary is seeking submissions from student artists at UCalgary and Alberta University of the Arts for Emerging Voices, a curated exhibition hosted in partnership with the Calgary Central Library.
Important Dates
- Extended Submission Deadline: March 12, 2026 (11:59 pm)
- Notification of Selection: March 15 – 16, 2026
- Exhibition Date: March 21, 2026 (6:30 – 8:30 pm)
- Artwork Drop-Off: Details will be provided upon acceptance
Eligibility
Open to student artists from:
- University of Calgary
- Alberta University of the Arts
All visual media are welcome.
Artist Fees & Payment
This exhibition does not offer artist fees, honoraria, or royalties.
(Required note: The Calgary Central Library’s exhibition policies do not permit paid exhibitions in this program.)
However, an artist directory will be created and shared with exhibition attendees and community arts partners.
Selected artists may indicate whether their work is available for sale.
- All sales must be conducted off-site between the artist and buyer.
- Artists retain 100% of control over their work.
Submission Requirements
- 1 – artworks for consideration
- Images (JPG or PDF preferred)
- Title, medium, size and a brief description
- Short artist statement (optional)
- Contact information (full name, email, institution)
