Starting salary: $45,000 to $50,000/year

The board of directors of Alberta Playwrights’ Network is seeking a new executive director. Responsible for the financial management, programming and oversight of the operations, the ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a passion for the arts, an experienced administrator and a relationship-builder.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of and passion for Canadian theatre with a creative spirit.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- A self-motivated and pragmatic attitude with a passion for creative expression.
- Experience in fundraising, budgeting, and/ or grant writing is an asset.
- Previous experience as a playwright or in play development is considered a strong asset.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in the arts or nonprofit sector is also an asset.
While our physical office is located in Calgary, we are open to receiving applications from across the province regardless of location.
