Executive Director Position

We are seeking a part-time executive director to provide both creative and operational leadership for the festival. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about film, social impact and building a values-driven arts organization.
About the Organization
THIRD ACTion Film Festival uses film to create a more inclusive and accurate dialogue about aging. Through carefully curated film screenings, conversations and community partnerships, we bring together audiences of all ages to explore what it means to live a full and engaged life.
About the Role
The executive director works closely with the Board, programmers, volunteers and partners to shape the festival’s artistic direction and oversee its operations.
Responsibilities include programming leadership, fundraising and grant writing, financial oversight, partnerships, communications, and festival delivery. This is a collaborative, hands-on role in a small and growing organization.

Position Details
- Contract position (flexible working hours)
- Monthly honorarium (ideal for candidates not requiring a salary)
- Approximately 20 hours per week, with seasonal fluctuations
THIRD ACTion Film Festival is working towards establishing financial sustainability. A key part of this role is helping grow the organization to support a fully funded executive director position in the future.
Ideal Candidate
You bring senior leadership experience in the arts, non-profit, film, or cultural sector, strong communication and fundraising skills and a collaborative, mission-aligned leadership style.
