GIRAF 21 Signal Film and Poster Artist

Starting date of contract: June 10, 2025
End date of contract: August 30, 2025
Payment: $25/hour at 30/hours a week for the duration of the contract

Animator will work with the artistic director to plan a signal film up to one (1) minute in length, including pre-production, production and post production activities. They will also use design elements from their film to create print and online digital marketing assets (for posters, flyers, social media templates and festival website)
The ideal candidate is an emerging or early-career animator who has completed or is undertaking post-secondary studies in animation, visual arts, design or similar, or has comparable experience or training, with proficiency with animation and design tools.
The animator will bring their own style and artistic approach to the film, with the opportunity to grow their skills in their preferred animation medium.
Funding for this job is provided by the Government of Canada’s Summer Jobs Program. As a condition of this program, applicants must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred, between the ages of 15 – 30 at the start of employment.
