Kathleen & Russell Lane Canadian Art Award 2026

This award is for full-time undergraduate students entering final year at a post-secondary institution in Alberta in visual arts (excluding electronic media). Applicants must have good academic standing, provide an artist’s statement and vision, and a maximum of eight images of their work.
One award at approximately $1,000, applied directly to tuition.

Applicant must:
- Be a Canadian citizen.
- Be enrolled in full-time undergraduate study at a post-secondary institution in Alberta.
- Be entering their final year of studies in visual arts (excluding electronic media).
- Demonstrate good academic standing (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 2.7 or 70%).
- Provide an artist’s statement and vision, and how this award will be helpful in the applicant’s artistic/academic career.
- Provide a maximum of eight images of work with accompanying details of title, year, medium and size of each work.
- Provide two letters of reference (one must be from a studio professor).
