Welcome to the debut of The Oratory Live Talk Show! On March 1, 2025, join us at Contemporary Calgary for an intentional evening of healing through art, play and storytelling.
Made possible by Calgary Arts Development, we extend a heartfelt invitation to not just witness, but actively participate, create and discover profound solace within the transformative embrace of the arts. In an ever-ailing world, we’re on a mission to practice emotional honesty and be a somatic sanctuary where authentic connections flourish, rooted in the timeless wisdom of Ubuntu – ‘I am because you are.’
The Oratory offers a unique blend of live music, storytelling, inner work health exercises and interactive elements. It’s the arts meets advocacy and education meets entertainment i.e. edutainment.
On March 1, we welcome:
- Headline performance by 4-time JUNO winning rapper and singer TOBi
- In-house music provided by YYC Music Award winner K-Riz & The Family Band
- Performances by Premier Kiki House of Gvasalia, Kiki House of Galore and Iconic International Kiki House of Pinklady of Vogue YYC
- Conversation with special guest Dr. Gabrielle Weasel Head
- Special collaboration with MC Amanti Udott and ZENON+
For every person in attendance, a meal will be donated to people experiencing houselessness through the Feeds the Streets program in partnership with The Walker Foundation and VOTO.
