Marketing Coordinator

Pay range: $20 — $22 per hour
Reporting to the managing director. This is an amazing opportunity for a person who loves the theatre is friendly and has strong communication skills. This exciting role will offer a young professional the opportunity to work under the mentorship of the managing director and artistic director to assist in executing marketing promotions, initiative and campaigns with a focus on graphic design coordination, newsletter preparation, and promotional materials. As a not-for-profit organization, campaigns and events attracting new patrons, donors and sponsors will be a large focus. A successful candidate will work well in a fast paced environment and have the ability to work closely with other Capitol Theatre team members to deliver a one-of-a-kind experience to our visitors and the community.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare and execute the organization’s weekly newsletter campaigns.
- Create written correspondence around events to include pre-show & post-show communications, event invites and post event announcements .
- Communicate new promotions, initiatives and show schedules with internal and external stakeholders with a focus on performance listings.
- Manage inventory and ensure proper stock of rack cards and brochures in-house and in external distribution areas.
- Ensure internal marketing signage and digital assets are current and maintained. ie: posters, way-finding signage, TVs, etc.
- Assist to build sponsorship and promotional packages, materials and tracking documents.
- Represent the brand while communicating with community establishments to build relationships.
- Work with customers, clients and suppliers to negotiate promotional partner agreements.
- Track effectiveness and assist in evaluation of marketing and promotional efforts to inform future efforts.
