Calling all creatives and aspiring designers!

The Alberta Network of Immigrant Women (ANIW) is excited to announce the next cohort of our Needle & Thread Sewing Program — designed for beginners, intermediate learners and advanced sewists alike!

Whether you’re just getting started or ready to refine professional techniques, we have a class for you:

Basic Sewing Class (beginner-friendly)

Perfect for those new to sewing or anyone looking to build a strong foundation. Learn essential techniques, machine basics and complete guided projects with confidence.

Schedule: Every Saturday for eight sessions
Starting: March 14, 2026
Time: 10 am – 1 pm

Intermediate Sewing Class

Already comfortable using a sewing machine? Take your skills to the next level! Learn advanced construction techniques, work with jersey fabrics, and get hands-on experience using a serger.

Schedule: Every Saturday for eight sessions
Starting: March 14, 2026
Time: 2 – 5 pm

Advanced Sewing Class

Ready to elevate your craft? This course introduces pattern drafting and professional stitching techniques for bridal and partywear garments — plus a surprise final project to showcase your skills!

Schedule: Every Sunday for eight sessions
Starting date: March 15, 2026
Time: 10 am – 1 pm
