The Third Annual Egmont Lee Founders’ Lecture is Playing with Scales: The Art of Restraint in the Dutch Republic

Join Dr. Anuradha Gobin (Associate Professor, Art History, University of Calgary) for an exploration of play and illusionism in 17th-century Dutch visual culture. Discover how miniature dollhouse objects became sites of intellectual and artistic engagement for women in the Dutch Republic, and what these dollhouses can reveal about seventeenth-century Dutch society.
