Polaris Music Prize
The Polaris Music Prize has announced its 2026 season key dates and opened its free music submission portal for Canadian artists and their representatives. Eligible albums and songs (released between April 1, 2025 and May 1, 2026) can now be submitted for consideration for the Polaris Album Prize and the SOCAN Polaris Song Prize, both judged solely on artistic merit without regard to genre or commercial success.
Key dates for the 2026 season include the Album Long List announcement on June 11, Song Long List on June 24, Album Short List on July 9 and Song Short List on July 29. The Polaris Concert & Award Ceremony returns to Massey Hall in Toronto on September 22, with concert tickets on sale now (15% off with promo code POLARIS15 for tickets purchased before April 30).
The 2026 Album Prize winner will receive $30,000 from the Slaight Family Foundation, while the Song Prize winner receives $10,000 courtesy of SOCAN.
