About River Hall
River Hall is a landmark project designed to unite the community through food, music and culture by the Bow River. Building on the success of the 2024 and 2025 pilots, Aire commune has been mandated by the City of Calgary to evolve Lot 6 into River Hall 2.0: a premier year-round, four-season destination featuring a heated pavilion that balances public accessibility with operational sustainability.
Position: Program Manager
Reporting to the project manager, the programming manager is responsible for developing, curating and executing the full programming calendar for River Hall. This role is the creative and logistical engine behind the site’s events and activations — from music and cultural programming to vendor management and partner coordination. The programming manager ensures every activation aligns with River Hall’s brand identity and community mandate.
Key Responsibilities
- Programming Calendar: Develop and manage the seasonal programming calendar (events, activations, performances, vendor markets) aligned with River Hall’s strategic goals and City of Calgary timelines.
- Reporting: Track programming KPIs and contribute to regular reports for internal teams and the City of Calgary.
- Partner & Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with Lot 6 festivals, community organizations, and City teams on scheduling, noise levels, utility access, and shared resources.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the programming budget in collaboration with the Project Manager and finance team.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the social media manager and the venue manager to ensure cohesive event execution.
- Content & Communications Support: Collaborate with the social media manager to highlight programming through content; provide key dates, descriptions and assets.
Contract Duration
Fixed-term contract from May 2026 to October 2026 (approx. six months), with possibility of renewal based on project needs and performance. Exact start and end dates may be adjusted based on operational requirements.
Compensation and Financial Perks
- Base Salary: Compensation based on experience
- Remote Work Allowance: $100 per month for internet, phone and home office expenses, paid bi-weekly together with salary payments.
