Wage: $36 per hour
Hours: 30 to 35 hours per week

Mockingbird Tattoo, located in the heart of scenic Kensington, is a friendly, clean and bright studio dedicated to creating precise, clear and artful tattoos that stand the test of time.
Job Duties
The successful candidate will:
- Create high-quality, custom tattoo designs based on the client’s requests and artistic vision.
- Consult with and advise clients on the size, colour, design, placement of body art and aftercare instructions.
- Use a tattoo machine to permanently pigment the client’s skin as per the approved custom design.
- Repair and mask aesthetic defects, including cover-up tattoos and modifications.
- Maintain health and safety procedures, ensuring a safe and hygienic working environment by following strict sterilization and sanitation protocols.
- Operate, sterilize, and maintain tattooing equipment and work areas in accordance with industry standards and regulations.
- Manage appointment scheduling and client records, including consent forms and design approvals.
- Welcome walk-in clients and provide exceptional customer service.
- Collaborate with other artists and staff to maintain a professional and creative studio environment.
- Stay updated with the latest tattooing trends, techniques, and safety regulations.
- Assist in promotional events, social media engagement, and marketing efforts to enhance studio visibility.
Employment Conditions and Benefits
Work Schedule: Day shifts, Tuesday to Saturday, 10am to 5pm. Sundays and Mondays are days off.

Skills and Experience
- Education: Completion of secondary school (high school)
- Work Experience: Three to five years of experience as a Tattoo Artist
- Work Setting: Tattoo studio
- Supervision: Ability to supervise one to two people
