Call for Entry: The Teapot Show and Sale 2025

The Alberta Potters’ Association invites you to apply for our 2025 juried exhibition, The Teapot Show and Sale. Our exhibition will take place on May 2, 2025 at NVRLND arts foundation in Calgary. All teapots entered into the show must be for sale. The consignment split for sold items is 30% to the APA and 70% to the artist. Everyone is welcome to attend the event at NVRLND, it is open to the public from 6 – 9pm. Winners are expected to be at the show at 7pm to receive their awards.
Please apply with any teapot, functional or sculptural, wheel thrown or hand-built, to our exhibition. To be considered, work must be minimum 75% ceramic. This call is open to all clay artists living in Alberta Canada or holding an associate APA Membership. APA member submission fee is $10 per submission, non-member submission fee is $20 per submission, students can submit free of cost but must complete one volunteer shift per submission. Students who do not wish to complete a volunteer shift can submit and pay the submission fee.
Submissions open January 31 and the deadline to apply is March 21, 2025 at 11:59pm.
This is a juried exhibition. You may submit up to 5 pieces. Not all submissions are guaranteed entry to the show. There will be three jurors forming our jury committee. The jury committee will be released at a later date.

Accepted applicants have the opportunity to sell additional items at the Teapot Show and Sale. Additional items must be %75 ceramic and follow the theme of the event and cannot include teapots. Teapots shown in the show must be submitted through ArtCall to be juried. Those who wish to take advantage of this opportunity must be able to be in person at the Teapot Show and Sale on May 2nd, 2025 at NVRLND. arts foundation. Additionally, the Teapot Show and Sale is focused on displaying the Teapots submitted and we cannot guarantee all additional items for sale will see the floor.
