Honens invites Canada’s finest music students to work with the distinguished artists of the Competition Jury!
Curated and led by 2018 Honens Prize Laureate Nicolas Namoradze, The Honens Lab offers a fresh and expanded approach to piano training for Canadian pianists aged 14 to 30. The selected participants receive:
- One public masterclass with either Anne-Marie McDermott or Janina Fialkowska (members of the Second Jury).
- One additional masterclass led by Nicolas Namoradze himself.
- Three seminars supporting both artistic development and personal well-being.
- Tickets to five Semifinals performances at the 2025 Honens International Piano Competition.
- Pre/Post-performance discussions about Semifinals recitals aimed to deepen understanding and reflect critically on artistic growth.
The best part? Due to the generosity of the Mount Royal University Conservatory and our other sponsors and partners, this opportunity is free of charge for the six participants accepted to the program.
