Whether you’re considering a BFA, MFA, or another creative program in art, music, dance or theatre, this workshop will help you make an informed decision about your next steps.
Join EAR on Wednesday, October 1 at 7pm MT on Zoom. This session will go beyond the glossy brochures and dive into the real questions you should be asking: Is this the right time for me? How do I find a program that truly fits my needs? What will I gain from the experience — and what will it cost me? And most importantly, what will I do when I graduate?
We’ll cover:
- Should you get a degree in a creative field? Exploring the benefits and challenges.
- Finding the right school and program. How to match your goals with what institutions actually offer.
- Application strategies. What to include (and what not to) in your portfolio, statement, and CV — plus tips for writing them effectively.
- Funding and scholarships. Where to look, how to budget, and tips for reducing financial stress.
- Maximizing your experience. Setting yourself up to get the most out of art school, once you’re in.
You’ll leave with practical tools, funding resources, and a clearer sense of whether pursuing an arts degree is the right choice for you — now, later, or maybe not at all.
