A Three-Day Storytelling Intensive: Character, Dialogue & Plot

This intensive is designed for writers who want to level up quickly by combining the three pillars of great storytelling: compelling characters, sharp dialogue, and strong narrative structure. Each day blends lecture, discussion and hands-on writing labs, with peer interaction and feedback. Writers leave not only with tools and frameworks, but with concrete story material they can keep building on.
This class takes place in person at the Alexandra Writers’ Centre.

About the Instructor
Andrew Buckley is a storyteller, educator, and keynote speaker with over 20 years of experience in creative writing and marketing. His humorous and satirical writing style persists despite polite requests to stop, as he creates engaging speculative fiction across traditional and self-publishing platforms.
Known for his distinctive voice that seamlessly blends humour with compelling narratives, Andrew has established himself as a versatile creator across multiple platforms, including novels, comic books, screenplays, podcasts, and immersive storytelling experiences. He is the creator of *Deadly Dinner Parties*, an interactive mystery series designed to bring murder, intrigue, and laughs to your dining room table.
