Social Media Assistant

Hours: 8 hours per week, flexible schedule
Location: Remote
Start date: Immediately

Do you have a passion for social media and storytelling?

Homegrown Arts & Media Collective is looking for a social media assistant to join our team and help amplify our mission of empowering diverse storytellers. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience while contributing to the growth of a dynamic non-profit focused on ethical and responsible communication.

What we need from you:

  • Assist in managing and scheduling content on Instagram
  • Engage with followers, respond to comments and DMs, and grow the community
  • Support the development of social media strategies to raise awareness of Homegrown’s mission and events

Event Coordination Assistant

Hours: 12 hours per week, flexible schedule
Start date: ASAP, June 1, 2025
Location: Remote

Are you organized, detail-oriented and passionate about event planning?

Homegrown Arts & Media Collective is seeking an event coordination assistant to support the planning and execution of our upcoming events, including the Inspirations: A Storyteller’s Summit and other exciting initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in event management while contributing to a dynamic non-profit organization focused on empowering storytellers and creatives.

What you get from us:

  • Gain practical experience in event coordination and management
  • Work closely and learn with the executive director of the organization

What we need from you:

  • Assist with the logistics and planning of Inspirations: A Storyteller’s Summit, including coordinating schedules, venues and vendors.
  • Help prepare event materials and assist with on-the-day event setup and management.
  • Track event timelines, keep track of important tasks and ensure deadlines are met.
