Volunteers Needed
Vertigo Theatre
Location: Pure Casino Calgary (1420 Meridian Rd. NE)
Dates: January 27 & 28, 2025
It’s casino time!
We are looking to fill the following roles:
- General Manager: Overseeing cashier payouts, able to fill in any position if necessary to allow for a break
- Banker: Controls cash and chip inventory
- Cashier: Redeems player’s chips for cash
- Chip-runner: Delivers chips from the Banker to the game table and records starting/closing chip inventories
- Count-room staff: Sorts, counts and inputs money into cash counters and computers
Backups for all positions: If you sign up for a backup position, you are not required to be on-site at Pure Casino Calgary. However, you must be available to come to the casino for the duration of the shift if we call you due to a no-show or an emergency. Please keep your phone with you and ensure you can be reached during your shift time.
All volunteers will be provided a meal at the casino restaurant and a taxi chit to get home from the shift (no taxi chit will be provided for travel to the casino).
All volunteers must:
- Be over the age of 18.
- Bring ID.
- Volunteers are prohibited from gambling or participating in any casino games throughout the entire duration of Vertigo’s casino event on January 27 and 28, 2025.
Volunteers can sign up for multiple shifts, but may only volunteer for one position at a time (for example: you can sign up for two shifts as a chip runner, but you cannot sign up for two shifts in different roles).
