Join us for a weekend of creativity, learning, and hands-on fun with DIY Theatre’s Weekend of Workshops! Whether you’re looking to sharpen your performance skills, step behind the scenes, or explore new aspects of theatre-making, there’s something for everyone.
Workshop lineup:
SWORDplay with Rico Pfeiffer (max 12 participants). Get ready to move! Learn sword drills, exercises, and even a bit of choreography in this energetic, action-packed workshop.
Behind the Seams: Inside Theatre Wardrobe Production & Presentation with Vanessa Taylor. Step into the world of theatre wardrobe and costume design—discover how wardrobe departments function and gain practical insight into preparing and presenting costume designs for stage.
Mock Auditions with Samantha McKenna-Currie (max 12 participants). Polish your audition skills in a low-stress setting. Perform a monologue and song, then receive personalized feedback from professional actor and director Samantha McKenna-Currie.
The World of Intimacy with Anastasia St Amand. Designed for arts administrators and production team members, this session explores the role of Intimacy Directors, including best practices, union guidelines, and how this emerging role supports safer, more collaborative productions.
