Calgary Stampede Poster Competition
The 2021 Calgary Stampede Poster Competition is now open!
Ages: Young artists ages 15 – 24
Application Deadline: November 30, 2019
Young artists age 15 to 24 are encouraged to apply for the chance to create the 2021 Calgary Stampede Poster.
Art submitted in the application process should be pre-made pieces from artists’ current portfolio; applicants will create their concept for the 2021 Calgary Stampede Poster once selected for the competition.
All 2D mediums are accepted (painting, photography, drawing, graphic design, etc.).
The top 30 artists will receive unique and exciting mentorship opportunities and have the chance to create their vision for the 2021 poster.
$20,000 in scholarships will be distributed among the top eight competitors. $10,000 scholarship will be awarded for first place, with their winning design as the 2021 Calgary Stampede Poster.
The deadline to apply is November 30, 2019.
Letters of reference should be written by individuals who can speak to the artists’ ambitions, artistic style and passion for the arts.
