58th Annual Alberta Playwriting Competition

The Alberta Playwriting Competition is almost here!

Alberta Playwrights’ Network is now accepting entries into the 58th annual Alberta Playwriting Competition, presented in association with Theatre Alberta.

The competition recognizes the most outstanding un-produced Alberta play with the Sharon Pollock Award ($5,000 cash prize). It is open to all playwrights who reside in Alberta, whether they are APN members or not.

We acknowledge that the land we gather on, Mohkinsstsis, is the ancestral territory of the Siksikaitsitapi — the Blackfoot people — comprising the Siksika, Kainai and Piikani Nations, as well as Treaty 7 signatories, the Tsuut’ina Nation and the Îyârhe Nakoda Bearspaw, Chiniki and Goodstoney First Nations.
