Evening Art Program

An inpatient adolescent mental health unit in Calgary is seeking out artists to volunteer in a developing evening art program for adolescents ages 13 to 17 receiving mental health treatment. Experience working in and knowledge of the adolescent population (at-risk, mental health, high school etc.) is preferred.

The volunteer will work collaboratively with the Recreation Therapist to form one to two-hour art sessions for the adolescents to experience a new leisure activity.

If you are interested in empowering adolescents to explore their creative and artistic abilities please contact the Recreation Therapist for more information. All volunteers are required to complete the volunteer signup process, which includes a criminal record and vulnerable sector check and a program orientation.
