The Clarity Sessions

Alberta All Access with Jocelyn Brown

Like a chef would sharpen her knives regularly to ensure optimal performance, so too should the artist hone the written component of their professional presentation. From grant applications to artist statements, clear and compelling text can make all the difference.

If you are a member, book a 25 minute one-to-one session with a writer! Before your session, send up to four pages of your writing. Then enjoy a robust (but kind) conversation with Jocelyn about editing and refining. If you’re not a member consider becoming one by visiting!

Previously the Edmonton Public Library’s writer in residence, Jocelyn Brown has won the Journey Prize for a short story and published two books to enthusiastic reviews. Over the years, she has successfully applied for Canada Council and Alberta Foundation for the Arts grants and helped other people do so.
