Portraits for Masks

I am looking for people who have (like myself) lost a loved one to COVID-19 for a project that I am working on. I would like to paint a portrait of them onto masks in order to not only memorialize them but also to humanize the reality of the statistics, and remind us why we are all still taking measures to protect others.

Alberta Rose is the Indigenous artist in residence at Calgary Public Library and will be undertaking the portraits.

If you would like to take part or have questions, contact artist@calgarylibrary.ca.
