Public Engagement

Calgarians are invited to be part of plans to create public art for the Flanders Avenue interchange. The engagement process will take place from March until fall 2018, and is being fully funded by Canada Lands Company.

Vancouver-based artist Luke Blackstone has been selected by a volunteer jury to create the Flanders Avenue interchange artwork. He will use public input from the engagement process to help shape artwork themes and approaches.

An information session on the Flanders Avenue interchange public art project will be held.

Date: Wednesday, March 21, 2018
Time: 6:30 – 9:00pm
Location: Military Museums Atrium (4520 Crowchild Tr. SW)
Price: Free

The public information session will include presentations from the artist, as well as a chance to learn more and share input. The next phase of public consultation will include an online survey that will be launched this spring.
