Art Crime in Canada

This presentation is geared to those working in the art industry as artists, collectors, gallery owners, and for lovers of art. The purpose is to generate an understanding of this type of crime. In this presentation, we will attempt to define what art crime is, why it happens, who commits such crimes, how these crimes occur, how you can protect yourself and what to do if it happens to you.

Phaedra Vandenbrun has recently graduated with a post-graduate certificate in Antiquities Trafficking and Art Crime from the University of Glasgow. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in Apparel Production from Ryerson.
