Art & Nature Virtual Museum Classroom

Five weeks of foothills exploration, hosted live from the Leighton Art Centre!

Join the Leighton Art Centre’s virtual museum classroom to learn all about the natural environment of Alberta’s Foothills and create some art too.

Pick just one or two classes, or register for all five and save over $12.

  • Week 1, February 22, 2021: Trees and Forests
  • Week 2, March 1, 2021: Animals in the Foothills
  • Week 3, March 8, 2021: Landscapes of Alberta
  • Week 4, March 15, 2021: Owls of Alberta
  • Week 5, March 22, 2021: Mountain Blue Birds

Each week, students will join our educators virtually for 45 minutes for exploration, discussion, and a guided art lesson. Recommended for Grades 1-6, but all are welcome!

Time: 11:15am – 12:00pm MT
Cost: One session $11.15/person (price includes Eventbrite fees), five sessions $42.80/person (price includes Eventbrite fees)

Classroom bookings for these workshops are available for at-home learners—please email educator@leightoncentre.org for more info or to book. $100/class, max 32 students.
