Art to Inspire Sustainable Futures

How might we create a more sustainable future for Calgarians?

On Wednesday, November 30, 2022 the Community Development Learning Initiative, in partnership with United Nations Association Canada – Calgary Branch, and with the support of seven local organizations, will be hosting a virtual community conversation from 6 to 8pm to explore this question. We’ll be drawing on the Sustainable Development Goals and Agenda 2030’s 5 Pillars: People, Planet, Prosperity, Peace, and Partnerships, to frame the question.

As part of our conversation set up we would like to spend 5-10 minutes to feature art that inspires us to think about the future from a sustainability lens, noting that this includes climate action as much as tackling poverty, gender equity, justice, etc.

If you have a song, poem, animation, dance, comic, piece of visual art, or some other form of art that you would like to be considered to be included in this gathering, please reach out to cdli@caryacalgary.ca!

Our limited budget allows for us to spend between $100 to $250 for up to four contributions.

Please contact us with more information about what your contribution might look like by November 10, 2022.

You can find out more about the event at calgarycdli.com and regardless we’d love to have you join us!
