Calgary Queer Arts Society is ramping up for the 10th Anniversary of Coming Out Monologues YYC.

Artist Coordinator Position

The Artist Coordinator will work with our incredible performers throughout the entire development, rehearsal, and performance process. They will work with the entire team to facilitate writing workshops, run rehearsals, and supporting the performers through their journey to the stage.

The Artist Coordinator will be expected to attend all rehearsals, scheduled for Tuesday evenings, and support throughout the performances in late March 2019. The successful applicant will have experience and interest working with the LGBTQ2S community, as well as in creative writing or performance. They will be organized, with excellent time management skills and communication skills. They’ll bring their energy and empathy to the role and have the opportunity to work with a diverse group of performers and team members.

This position will be paid an honorarium.

Technical Coordinator Position

The Technical Coordinator will support the Artist Coordinator and our incredible performers throughout the entire development, rehearsal, and performance process. They will work with the entire team to help ensure that their stories and brought to life on stage through the use of lighting and sound. They will be responsible for coordinating the technical needs of performers and the space, and operating technical equipment during performances.

The Technical Coordinator will be expected to attend all rehearsals, scheduled for Tuesday evenings, and support throughout the performances in late March 2019. The successful applicant will have experience and interest working with the LGBTQ2S community, as well as in creative writing or performance. They will also ideally have experience working with sound and lighting equipment, or stage management. They will be organized, with excellent time management skills and communication skills. They’ll bring their energy and empathy to the role and have the opportunity to work with a diverse group of performers and team members.

This position will be paid an honorarium.
