Archived June 18, 2021 Suncor Indigenous Artist Program We’re accepting applications for the Suncor Indigenous Artist Program! Much like the artist in residency program, the Suncor Indigenous Artist Program follows the traditional residency model and is based on the idea of making art and engaging with the community through art. This program supports one Indigenous artist within Arts Council Wood Buffalo’s (ACWB) Artist in Residency and will run for three to four weeks between September and December 2021. Indigenous artists from across Wood Buffalo and Canada are encouraged to apply for this opportunity. Applicants’ artforms could range from dance, literary arts, media, music, performance or visual arts. ACWB also welcomes applications from artists who feel that they belong to other artforms. The selected artist may choose to focus on traditional or non-traditional Indigenous art forms. Submissions are accepted until June 30, 2021, at 12:00pm (Noon).
