Summer Writers Session

This seven-day online residency provides thematic teaching from faculty members, Q&A sessions, and one-on-one workshopping. Instructors will discuss ideas, experiences, and obstacles that participants may be encountering with their writing across genre.

What does the Program Offer?

This seven-day session will allow writers across genre to explore craft, voice, and workshop their manuscripts with exceptional faculty Kaie Kellough and Jordan Abel. Faculty will share their own work, present talks and field questions about craft, and work with writers to hone their writing in progress. The session will open with longer intense workshops followed by five days of short one-on-one meetings, and then a closing reflective session.

We are pleased to offer writers working in French the opportunity to apply and be adjudicated for this program in French. Faculty Kaie Kellough will be available during the residency to work with French manuscripts and offer mentorship in French. Please note, however, that our programs and official Banff Centre administration are conducted in English.
