We’re looking for local artists to pair with our bottle releases! Our brewery invites applications from artists and illustrators, with priority given to those residing in Calgary or Alberta, for artwork to include in beer labels for our limited-edition barrel-aged bottle program. Final artwork may be original, created specifically for that beer, or maybe artwork previously created by the artist. The art can be related to or inspired by what’s inside the bottle but doesn’t need to. The only rule is: it needs to be in black and white. Remuneration: Successful applicants will receive $250 (GST included) for each label design. Submission Criteria: Artistic Practice narrative (500 words or fewer): An explanation of your artistic practice and the medium/materials you work in. Describe how your artistic practice is particularly suited to The Establishment Brewing Company. Artist statement/bio (250 words or fewer). Website/online portfolio showcasing examples of work art and/or illustration; OR, If no website with online portfolio: Attach any combination of work samples to sufficiently support your proposal. If uploading files, please include artists last name in the file name. Up to five JPG images (no larger than 2MB each). List of work (PDF) with title, medium and dimensions. There is room for 23 additional sentences if necessary.
