Educational Opportunities November 9, 2023 Book / Zine Publishing Workshop Date: Saturday, November 25, 2023 Time: 1 – 3pm MT Location: The Alcove Centre for the Arts (244 7th Ave. SW) About this Event Workshops are recommended for people ages 12 and over. Children under 12 years old are welcome with parent/guardian supervision. Please get a ticket for each person (incl. all children). The workshop is pay what you can! About the Facilitator Ryan Lee is a photographer based out of Calgary. His work mixes analog and digital photography. He attends the University of Calgary, pursuing a degree in marketing. He freelances serving small businesses and agencies as a photographer, designer and strategist. The Alcove Centre for the Arts is a non-profit organization based in Calgary, which aims to make art more accessible and promote a vibrant local arts industry. We curate and cultivate community art spaces for Calgarians to engage in art and creativity while building a platform for emerging local artists. The Alcove is currently piloting a Recreational Art Space urban activation project in 2023 in collaboration with the City of Calgary Downtown Strategy and cSPACE. The Recreational Art Space is a drop-in art space open to the public providing free art supplies and instruments to stimulate creativity.
